At Kimberly Creek Retreat you have the option to relax at your cabin or explore the numerous area attractions.  You can enjoy our wooded retreat by using our hiking trails & picnic areas, or watch various wildlife. The local attractions nearby include: Mahoney and Platte River State Parks, SAC Museum, Wildlife Safari Park, Golf Courses, wineries and restaurants.

Mahoney is just a quick 5 minute drive from Kimberly Creek Retreat.  It is one of the Top 10 State Parks in the US.  It offers numerous attractions for families and couples. Below is taken directly from their website.

"Families can visit the aquatic center and indoor playground, explore the park's hiking and biking trails, adventure through the treetop ropes course, climb the observation tower and, when the weather turns cold, enjoy indoor rock climbing, sledding, and ice skating. The park also offers dining at Caddy's Parkside Grille, and an arts and crafts center."



The SAC Museum is home to over 300,000 square feet of exhibit, education, and event space. They have aircraft, spacecraft and traveling exhibits. The museum does have a cafe that is open from 10:30am until 2:00pm daily.

Round the Bend Steakhouse is one of the premier steakhouses in Nebraska. You will pass this steakhouse on your way to Kimberly Creek Retreat. RTB is less than a 2 minute drive. It is also home to the annual Testicle Festival that is hosted on Father's Day weekend every June.

Open Monday through Saturday 11am-10pm. Closed Sunday 


Kimberly Creek Retreat has bird feeders and special viewing areas to watch wildlife which roam the property. We can not guarantee that you will see specific animals during your stay,  but you could see many different animals, depending upon the time of year.  If you are a wildlife lover, we recommend that you bring your camera.  We advise you to be ethical and cautious when encountering any wild animal. 


The Wildlife Safari Park is a four mile, drive-through North American wildlife adventure. You will be coming face to face with North American plants and animals such as elk, white-tailed deer, bison and waterfowl. There are also over two miles of trails which take you to other exhibits of animals in the park, including eagles, bears and wolves. This park is less than a 3 minute drive from Kimberly Creek Retreat, right off the I-80 exit.

Admission: $7.50 Adults, $5.50 children ages 3-11


Quarry Oaks is a 18 hole championship golf course with a full-service clubhouse. It is also rated #55 on Golf Digest's list of America's top 100 public golf courses.


You must reserve a tee time in advance.  So if you want to golf at Quarry Oaks during your stay, make sure you call a few days ahead to reserve your spot.
